About Lanjarón
Lanjarón sits on the sunny southern flank of the Sierra Nevada, halfway between Granada and the Costa Tropical.
Whitewashed streets, Moorish history and year-round sunshine make it the ideal MTB base: big mountains on the doorstep, the sea 30–40 minutes away, and everything you need within a 5-10 minutes walk from the villa.
After a day on the trails, grab a cold drink in the square, wander past the old castle ruins, or book into the historic spa for a soak. Lanjarón is famous for its spring water, local olive oil and honey—expect hearty Andalusian food and friendly bars.

FAQ
How far is Lanjarón from the airport and do you include transfers?
Lanjarón is about 1 hr 30 min from Málaga (AGP) and 45–60 min from Granada. On holiday weeks we include group transfers from AGP within our time windows; otherwise self-drive is easy and there’s on-site parking at the villa —needs to be pre-booked.
What’s the weather like and when’s the best time to visit?
We ride from September – June (10 months) thanks to a sunny micro-climate. Expect warm, dry conditions most of the year; spring and autumn are prime for big descents, while winter is mild on the lower slopes and summer rides often finish with a post-ride swimdown on the coast.
Is Lanjarón good for non-riders too?
Yes—non-riders enjoy spa days, castle viewpoints, village walks, cafés and local markets. Granada’s Alhambra and the Costa Tropical beaches are easy day trips. Non-rider discounts are available on our holiday packages.
Can I get everything I need in town (cash, shops, food)?
Absolutely. You’ll find a supermarket, bakeries, ATMs, pharmacie, cafés and restaurants within a 5–10 minute walk. We stock breakfast supplies at the villa; lunches and dinners are pay-as-you-go in town, and we’re happy to recommend (or book) the good spots.
