Fresh cut, maintained, fast flowing trails with technical sections & year-round sunshine. Our base between Málaga’s Costa del Sol and Granada’s Tropical Coast gives you fast access to the best downhill zones in Lanjarón, Motril, Otívar, Lecrín Valley, Torrox, La Zubia and Granada. Expect everything from rocky, race-pace straights to wooded singletrack, big berms, features and steep tech, all 100% uplifted so your energy goes into the descents.

Amazing zones: Lanjarón, Motril, Ótivar, Lecrín Valley, Torrox, La Zubia, Granada & Malaga. We can ride tracks anywhere at sea level and over a 1000 meters above sea level, in different areas to chase the best weather.

Sunny, dry conditions – ride year-round with coastal microclimates and Sierra foothills.

Villa life – pool, secure bike storage, tools & wash-down; chill hard with our pizza oven and fire pit after you ride hard.

Certified MIAS guides – safety first, fun always; perfect lines and sessioning on tap.

Airport transfers (AGP) – Malaga arrivals within our transfer windows.

DH Downhill Tracks

Lanjarón / Lecrín – 2.1, EL6 (new fresh cut), Lanjaron DH and Bedrock. These four tracks are Ride Southern Spain´s exclusive trails.

Velez de Benaudalla – RSS DH, Moby Dick, Superskunk.

• Motril – the classic Motril DH track is surrounded by other tracks on the same hillside, more than enough for a day. There is even a brand new fresh cut track for the advanced riders.

Torrox Malaga – amazing views over the Costa del Sol, this fast, flowy, rocky track finishes at the sea.

Otívar / Almuñecar – Otivar is one of Spain´s national DH tracks, fast straight line speed and rocky. A new fresh cut track in Almuñecar is also available for the advanced riders.

Granada / La Zubia – this track doesn´t have the most gradient, but it makes up with it´s jumps and playful nature, great for day 1 or a chilled day on the mountain bike. Possibly the fastest uplift in the world.

Güejar Sierra – these tracks are firm favourites with enduro riders, but for the DH riders who enjoy slightly tighter trails, this is also a day not to be missed.

FAQ

Do I need to be an expert? What bike/gear is required?
Our DH weeks are for confident intermediate to advanced riders (comfortable on red/black trails). A downhill or long-travel enduro bike (160–200 mm) is ideal. Full-face helmet is mandatory; we strongly recommend knee pads, elbow pads, gloves, and a back/chest protector.

Expect 5-7 uplifted runs per day depending on trail length, group pace and daylight. We start with a safety/line
briefing, run shuttles all day with no long stops, other than the odd coffee break, so bring packed lunch, and finish with a cold drink back at the villa. For 7-night stays we ride 5 days; for 4-night stays we ride 3 days.

Yes— group airport transfers from Málaga (AGP) within our standard windows (Saturday Morning´s) and villa accommodation with pool, workshop, Wi-Fi and secure bike storage are included. We stock breakfast supplies; lunches and dinners are pay-as-you-go at local cafés and restaurants, or you can cook in one of the three kitchens at the RSS Villa. Non-riders get a discount and are welcome at the villa.
We can arrange high-spec rental bikes (pre-booking essential). But it´s better to bring your own bike, it´s easy and cheaper then renting a bike. If you are not sure how to bring your own bike to Spain, contact us and we will explain everything. Personal travel/medical/accident insurance covering downhill MTB is mandatory.
