These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings with Ride Southern Spain (Lanjarón, Granada). By paying a deposit or balance you accept these Terms for yourself and your party.

Booking & Contract

• A booking is confirmed when we issue a Booking Confirmation and receive your deposit.
• The contract is between Ride Southern Spain and the lead guest named on the booking; the lead guest is responsible for all payments and for sharing info with the group.
• Minimum age 18 unless accompanied by a parent/guardian and pre-approved.

Payments, Prices & Deposits

• Deposit: £195 per person secures your place.
• Balance: due 6 weeks before arrival (invoice shows the date).
• Payments accepted in GBP or EUR by card or bank transfer.
• Prices may change before you book; once confirmed, your price is fixed (except agreed extras).
• Unpaid balances may result in your booking being cancelled without refund (see Cancellation).

What’s Included / Not Included

• Inclusions are shown on the relevant page (e.g., DH/Enduro, Trans Nevada, MIAS, Day Uplifts) and your Booking Confirmation.
• Unless stated: flights, lunches/dinners, personal insurance, specialist repairs/parts, and private transfers outside our time windows are not included.

Rider Eligibility & Fitness

• Our trips are for confident intermediate to advanced riders; check the page description for level.
• You are responsible for assessing your fitness, skills and medical suitability. Tell us about any medical conditions that could affect your participation.

Personal Insurance (Mandatory)

• You must carry travel/medical/accident insurance that explicitly covers mountain biking (including uplifted/downhill), medical treatment, evacuation and trip cancellation/curtailment.
• Bring proof of insurance; we may refuse participation without valid cover (no refund).

Safety, Guiding & Itinerary Changes

• Mountain biking involves risk. You agree to follow guide instructions, local regulations and posted signage.
• We may modify the itinerary for safety, weather, trail closures, fire risk, or group ability. Substitution of ride zones / uplift frequency may occur.

Equipment & Bike Condition

• You are responsible for bringing a safe, well-maintained bike and appropriate protective gear (helmet mandatory, knee pads recommended).
• We provide a wash station, basic tools and secure storage at base.
• Rental bikes (if booked): require a €250 cash deposit; crash damage and broken parts are charged at cost of parts + reasonable labour. Fair wear is fine.

Accommodation & Conduct

• Apartments are self-contained with kitchens and private bathrooms. Respect quiet hours after 22:00, no smoking indoors, and no glass near the pool.
• We may ask any guest who behaves in a way that risks safety or disturbs others to leave (no refund).

Airport Transfers

• Shared transfers run between Málaga (AGP) and our base within our published time windows.
• Outside the window, we can arrange private transfers (extra cost) or advise on self-drive.

Day Uplifts / Private Hire

• Day rides meet at the agreed local meeting point.
• Typical day: 09:30–16:30, 4-7 uplifted descents subject to daylight, pace and conditions.
• We may re-route or reschedule for safety/weather.

MIAS Courses (Level 1 & 2)

• Course language is English.
• First Aid certification is required to activate your MIAS award (you can complete before/after).
• Assessment is continuous; not everyone will pass on the day—tutor feedback and development plans are provided.

Waiver & Assumption of Risk — Digital Acceptance

• We send a Waiver & Release of Liability with your Booking Confirmation.
• By paying the deposit, you confirm you have read, understood and agree to the Waiver; your deposit constitutes an electronic signature/acceptance.
• You will also be asked to acknowledge the Waiver on arrival; parents/guardians must sign for any minor participants.

Medical, Allergies & Dietary Requests

• Tell us in advance about medical conditions, allergies or dietary needs so we can plan sensibly (we cannot guarantee allergen-free environments).

Media & Privacy

• Guides often capture informal photos/video during the week. You grant us permission to share within the group and use for marketing unless you tell us otherwise in writing.
• We keep your data for booking/admin purposes only and do not sell personal data.

Damage, Loss & Personal Property

• You are responsible for your personal items. We are not liable for loss, theft or damage except where caused by our negligence.

Cancellation & Changes by You (Strict — No Refunds)

• All payments are non-refundable, including the £195 deposit and any balance paid.
• If you cancel at any time, or fail to arrive, no refund is due.
• Name changes / replacements in your place are usually allowed up to 7 days before arrival (you arrange the replacement; admin fees may apply).
• We strongly recommend comprehensive insurance to cover cancellation for illness, injury, travel disruption, etc.

Changes or Cancellation by Us

• If we must significantly change or cancel due to force majeure (e.g., severe weather, fires, trail/road closures, strikes, natural events) or events beyond our control, we may reschedule, offer a credit, or adjust the itinerary. Cash refunds are not guaranteed.
• If we cancel for reasons within our control, we will offer alternative dates or a credit; liability is limited to amounts paid to us for the booking.

Complaints

• If something isn’t right, tell your guide/host immediately so we can fix it on the spot.
• If unresolved, email info@ridesouthernspain.com within 7 days of departure with details and booking reference.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

• These Terms are governed by Spanish law and any disputes are subject to the courts of Granada, Spain, without prejudice to any non-waivable consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.

Updates to Terms

• We may update these Terms; the version in force at the time of your deposit applies to your booking. The latest version is published on our website.

Final Notes

• Mountain biking has inherent risks. Good judgement, appropriate equipment and following guide instructions are essential.
• No-refund policy: protect yourself with travel insurance from the moment you book.
• Deposit = agreement: paying the deposit means you agree to these Terms and to the Waiver we send with your confirmation.
